# Pause at the claim. Ask for the proof.

A neat label can feel like an answer. Take a claim apart before it becomes part of your care plan.

The US agency in charge of reviewing medicines is the Food and Drug Administration (FDA).

## Start with a concrete check

Under US federal law as recorded in September 2026, supplying prescription medicine requires a valid prescription.

- Ask who writes the prescription.

- Ask which pharmacy supplies the medicine.

- Check the pharmacy's record with the state board.

- Wait for clear answers before choosing care.

## Reveal what the claim leaves out

Ask what the claim actually proves.

### Does joining FDA's list mean the medicines are approved?

An outsourcing facility is a larger site that prepares medicine in batches, often for clinics or hospitals.

FDA registration means the business chose to join FDA's list of these facilities, as of September 2026.

Being on the list does not mean FDA approves the business or the medicines it makes.

Ask: what evidence applies to the finished medicine itself?

### Does a quick online form count as a full assessment?

The medical boards' guidance says care cannot rely only on a form with preset answers that does not let the doctor ask for more detail, as checked in September 2026.

Ask: who reviews my answers, and how can we ask each other more questions?

### Does a drug code prove that the medicine is approved?

As recorded in September 2026, a National Drug Code identifies a product listed by FDA; it gives no proof that the product is approved.

Ask: where is the approval record for this exact product?

## Treat the page as a starting point

FDA cautions that a convincing online storefront can still disguise an unsafe pharmacy.

- Look for the real pharmacy record.

- Ask for a pharmacist who can answer questions.

- Ask what happens when the health professional declines a requested treatment.

- Ask for any claim you rely on in writing.
